Overview

WSA acknowledges the interest from coaches and players to participate in tournaments beyond the regular season and ECYSA/MYSA sanctioned tournaments. As these tournaments typically require a registration fee (entry fee), WSA is offering a $100 per team Tournament Refund to help offset these costs picked up by its membership and incent coaches and teams to explore tournament play.

Definitions

• Tournament: Multi-game event including teams competing from other towns or clubs. 

• Registration Fee: Fee required to enter a team into the tournament. 

Requirements

One refund request per G2 Academy and G4, G6, G8, G10 and PG travel team is allowed per playing year (July - June).

Refund must be allocated to offset registration or entry fees and cannot be applied to travel, lodging, entertainment, food/beverage or uniforms. 

Team must be made up of WSA registered players only.

If more than one WSA team is represented in the player composition of the team, only one WSA team should submit for the tournament refund.

How do I initiate a request for the refund?

The individual who paid for the registration fee should submit the Tournament $100 Refund via the WSA Reimbursement Requests form.

Refund requests will be monitored monthly at WSA Finance Committee meetings. 

How will the refund be distributed?

A check from WSA will be made out to the requestor if approved. The check will be sent via mail unless other arrangements are made for pickup. Contact [email protected] to confirm.

Who is authorized to submit a refund request?

The coach or parent who paid the tournament registration fee should submit for the refund. 

If a team has already submitted a refund request, the second request will not be approved and the submitted notified.
