Coaching Spring 2025

If you coached in the fall, Step 1 below must be done for the spring again for all coaches.
New spring coaches, complete all steps below. 

Please complete the steps below to prepare for the upcoming season.

Step 1:  Volunteer to Coach in the WSA Sports Connect registration system
                  This must be done EVERY SEASON and for EACH DIVISION you would like to coach.
                   If you did not volunteer when registering your child for a season, click below.

Step 2:  Complete the MYSA Adult Registration Process and Training Listed HERE 
                  If you coached in the fall, your MYSA coaching credential is valid for the spring season.
  All coaches are required to register with MYSA for each soccer year (Fall 24  - Spring 25)
                  MYSA registration must be done via the HERE link above. 
                  Training courses can also be done via your registration account, Volunteer tab.
   Tip: If you have to retake the concussion course, take the Intro to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments. 

Step 3:  Pick up your credentials during TBA 

Step 4:   Set up the Mojo app on your cell phone .

Step 5:  Pre-season coaches meeting:                             
                    Intramural Coaches:  
                                New IM Coaches Video- for any new coach in any program
                                Academy Coaches Video- for Grade 1 and Grade 2 coaches
                                Pre-K and K Coaches Video- for pre-K and coaches

*** Additional Steps for TRAVEL COACHES only  ***

• Attend ECYSA NEW Coaches Meeting:     April 2 & 3 (St. John's Prep, Danvers, MA) 
  •  At least one coach from each team must attend.  Attendance will be taken.
    
• Need some help in logging  in to the MYL system?  See HERE or email  [email protected]
  

•  Obtain ECYSA coach card - new one required each season
  • If you'd like to print out your own coaching card, it must be in COLOR (required).
  • If you cannot print it, you can get it when picking up other items
• Print out your game cards and some blanks ones to have on hand.   
  • Print them from the MYL system.  Print a couple for each game (just in case).
•  Is your photo roster complete? 
  • A new roster is needed for each season. 
  • To view your current roster, log into  Essex/MYL system, click on the Coaches menu, then click on the team name. 
  •  Coaches can not print out photo rosters.  Only Wakefield admins can.
